BROOKLANDS HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

We were founded in 2003 by a group of students studying for a City and Guilds qualification in Horticulture at Brooklands College in Weybridge, Surrey.

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm from September to April for talks and demonstrations from experts and enthusiasts in gardening. There is plenty of time for friendly chat, we serve tea, coffee, wine and nibbles and our raffle is a good way to win a plant, a bottle or other goodies. Our April meeting is our AGM and Annual Show.

In the summer months we visit both large and small gardens, and concentrate on those not normally open to the general public. Our coach trip is very popular, allowing us to go a bit further afield than we are comfortable to drive ourselves.

We have a Summer Party in a member's garden and a Christmas Party with a speaker and mini Christmas themed Show.

We are a small Society but pride ourselves on our friendly approach to gardening.

Brooklands College continues to support us and allows the use of their classrooms for our meetings.
